I like Kennedy.
I don't even care that she's brash and harsh and tough and pushy. I like Kennedy. I think she's had a tough life. She says she's known how to use a crossbow since she was 8, she also lived with a step-sister in a house with wings and had a summer home in the Hamptons. Meaning she had to keep secrets, meaning she knew, as she got older, that if she became the Slayer, her family would be in danger. Considering she ended up in Sunnydale and her Watcher was killed, it's not hard to imagine that her family might have been killed by the Bringers as well. Or maybe she just ran away and told them nothing and they're looking everywhere for her. Whatever happened, Kennedy was able to push all of that aside and deal with what was going on in Sunnydale. After Sunnydale, she steps up, she takes charge and really grows into her role as a Slayer. She's a natural leader, even if I don't necessarily think that what she's doing now is the right course of action.
I admit that I'm not a huge fan of her relationship with Willow, but I can't ignore the fact that their relationship lasted longer than any other Willow had. And the only reason they broke up was because of Willow's insecurities. Kennedy was deeply hurt by Willow's betrayal and her breaking off the relationship and I don't think she would ever take Willow back, but up until that point, she was completely committed to Willow and everything that went along with that. Kennedy is a good person and she's a damn good Slayer when she puts her mind to it.
I also have to give a shout out to Vi, because Felicia Day is fucking awesome. She was perfect in that role, and she's perfect in Supernatural as Charlie. And, in my little head canon, she's actually Vi undercover, keeping an eye on the Winchesters for Buffy, lol. Well, until she skipped off to OZ with Dorothy, lol.
